You can make some extra cash by doing a couple of simple and easy things! If you know how to do them correctly, there are plenty of ways you can earn an income online. If you have skills that your friends or family don't, there are other opportunities for you to use the knowledge you've earned from your work.
To find out more about all of these types of jobs and other ways you can make money online, check out our article on How to Make Money Online (and get my free guide to starting your own business.)
Here's what we're going to cover.
1) Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
The first way to make money online is to optimize your web pages as much as possible. This will show Google and pay-per-click ads when people try to access your website through Google. This is good for getting organic traffic to your site because it shows up in search results. In addition, a lot of companies have begun paying for this traffic, and it works great for those looking for high-volume gigs. The best way to start is to be consistent with keyword research and writing content around relevant keywords and phrases. Keep writing regularly so readers can find and come across your stories in their searches. Then, once they find your stories, you can give them a link to contact you via email.
Another way to boost SEO is to create custom titles and meta descriptions that explain the quality of the content and allow people to better understand what the story is and why it’s important. Adding internal links into your pieces can help users understand where they will find additional information about your article or product. Linking back to your homepage, keeping social media posts original and engaging are also vital practices.
2) Selling Products On Amazon
The second way to make money in 2020 or 2021 is to become an affiliate for any product that someone wants to buy and sell. Most brands will have a list of products that you can promote and write sales emails with the following details. Be sure to set up your own shopping cart and then pick one or two items that would be appropriate for your selling style, and then follow the steps below. Once someone checks out a particular item, you can automatically send the product link to that user to buy it and then give them a special code to purchase it.
All of the items will be available for purchase until a specific time period, like 14 days after the order has been placed. After the window closes, no further purchases can be made. One interesting way to add value is to include multiple options for the same product. For example, many popular brands like Under Armor Swimwear have several different colors of women's clothing.
It may seem a bit overwhelming for outsiders to figure out which color is the item most appropriate for them or what size it should be. By including a range of options, you can reduce the amount of effort required to figure it out. Also, you can take advantage of Amazon Prime subscriptions to make yourself an expert on the latest products and help others stay updated with information. So even though you write these emails to customers, keep your articles well-written and always include images and videos.
3) Transcribing Audio Books.
If you’ve enjoyed reading books before, chances are you have a passion for making them accessible to the masses. A lot of people who have never had time to read a book before, will now have the opportunity to get a new life-changing taste of it by reading just a few paragraphs on an audio file as opposed to the entire hardcopy. If you love to tell a story, such as James Patterson’s Spy and Die Hard, consider becoming an editor and taking your job translating audio books. The majority of audiobooks are under 70 minutes long. People want quick information, and if you have the ability to translate just enough text, you can make a living on this one. As for writing, not only does translation work great for business but for clients as well. If I was able to share certain facts with a client and she liked it, I could make her happy and get a review or a call back.
Translation works very well for businesses, so whether or not you’re able to translate just the right amount of text is up to you. Also, you can create a podcast as well as an e-book to expand upon your understanding of a topic. Either way, you’ll make money and it’ll look good.
4) Teaching English Speaking Skills.
If you have lots of friends or family who speak Spanish or Portuguese, a chance to teach other native speakers is one of the best things that you could do for them. That’s not to mention helping them learn a language while building relationships in real life.
If you are fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and possess a passion for speaking both languages, teaching these languages is fun and fulfilling. But it’s also easy. While everyone talks in school, they usually talk in full sentences instead of short ones, leaving listeners confused and frustrated.
Your role is to make sure that the conversation flows smoothly without being too cumbersome. At the top of each lesson are lots of questions to test your students' vocabulary and grammar. Do some of the lessons come with subtitles? Check them out and see what they say to your class. Depending on the age level, older children are encouraged to help younger kids with learning proper terminology. These courses include a basic level and a more advanced level geared towards working adults.
5) Freelancing
If you’ve been searching for freelance work to apply in your spare time, now is the perfect moment to start your career in a higher position than you are at the moment. You need to fill out your profile and complete a minimum number of tasks. These might include answering phone calls or responding to messages. Get feedback on whether or not you think potential employers enjoy your writing. Think about what topics people would be interested in hearing more about and pitch them to whoever wants to hire you.
If you are applying for a gig, look for ideas on current events, travel, or anything else related to social justice or racial tensions. Some freelancers pay very little, so try to negotiate the rate based on the length of experience that someone is willing to offer.
Finally, think about the type of services or projects that you want to be associated with. Whether it is creating graphics, editing video, transcribing music, or translating a book. Focus on what you think the employer is going to take out of your work, and get used to working for others. This is one of the easiest way to make money from home.
6) Helping Others Become More Successful
In the past few years, many successful entrepreneurs have launched successful online organizations to support others. You could also try out running a blog that has a bunch of different categories that talk about the subject matter that people have been struggling with. Or try offering consulting services on specific subjects like marketing, writing, and more. Since we’ve already talked about freelancing, start small and slowly work your way up. Sometimes your focus just needs to shift back to business. Not only will you benefit from knowing how to solve problems and improve lives. But you can also build credibility with future clients.
7) Drop shipping
If you’ve ever been curious about buying things, think about the idea of shipping goods that you make on the internet. Nowadays, anyone can drop ship, put a price on items, and have the money shipped directly to their buyers to collect the product and pay for the shipping charges. Drop shipping allows you to produce amazing products and ship them to a global customer base as cheaply as possible. Plus, the seller needs to pay less for the labor than he did earlier. Why wouldn’t you start a drop-shipping company? In fact, the world is filled with millions of businesses already operating on this platform, and so let's take advantage of this service and start ours! If you don’t like doing sales at the end of every deal, there are alternative ways you can do it that allow you to avoid that and increase profits.
The concept behind drop shipping is similar to another industry called FBA. Just imagine a company selling hundreds of different items. Instead of having thousands of individual employees with separate accounts that each handle everything, you become a boss with a single account that handles everything all day long. No more worrying about inventory or managing paperwork for returns. Just provide fast support and a seamless shopping experience.
8) Marketing Businesses With Social Media Ads
Social media is something that is still developing, and so every year you have to keep finding ways to market your company on the Internet. Of course, you can create websites and social media accounts to advertise the company. However, there are different approaches you can take to reach your target audience on the Internet. One great option you can implement is to create Facebook profiles for your company so that visitors can interact with the page without signing up for anything.
Another good thing would be to partner with a PR agency to create your brand identity on various social platforms. Having a positive public image will open doors to the future and can lead to word-of-mouth referrals and repeat business.
9) Blogging
Many bloggers share their personal experiences of how to succeed online. You can tell your followers about the products you make, how to create content that keeps readers engaged, how to grow your readership and how to grow your blog traffic. To reach your ideal audience, find your niche and stick to it. Don’t overpromise and tell people that you will do something magical within the next couple of weeks. Give people the sense that they are investing in your success.
10) Sponsoring
Whether you’re an entrepreneur looking to break into the digital marketing field or a student trying to save money during finals week, promoting your products or service is something you will need to do to reach your goals. Fortunately, advertising doesn't have to be complex and expensive like blogging or
